Resque is a Redis-backed Ruby library for creating background jobs, placing them on multiple queues, and processing them later. Queues are picked off in order of their priority. A job from a lower priority queue will only be picked off if there are no jobs for a higher priority queue available.

Devise is a flexible authentication solution for Rails based on Warden. It supports Database Authentication, Sends emails with confirmation instructions and verifies whether an account is already confirmed during sign in, Reset password and sends reset instructions, tracks sign in count, timestamps and IP address, Locks an account after a specified number of failed sign-in attempts and lot more.
 
It is composed of 10 modules:

Postal was developed by aTech Media to serve its own mail processing requirements and we have since decided that it should be released as an open source project for the community.
