Linux Desktop Testing Project is aimed at producing high quality test automation framework (using GNOME / Python) and cutting-edge tools that can be used to test Linux Desktop and improve it. It uses the Accessibility libraries to poke through the application's user interface. We strive to help in building a quality desktop. The GNU LDTP core framework uses Appmap and the recorded test-cases to test an application and then gives the status of each test-case as output. As of now, GNU LDTP can test any GNOME-based GUI applications, which are accessibility-enabled, Mozilla, Openoffice.org, any Java application (should have a UI based on swing) and KDE 4.0 applications based on QT 4.0 (based on the press releases by KDE).

Kannel is an open source WAP gateway. It attempts to provide this essential part of the WAP infrastructure freely to everyone so that the market potential for WAP services, both from wireless operators and specialized service providers, will be realized as efficiently as possible. GNU Classpath provides core class libraries for use with virtual machines and compilers for the java programming language. GNU Classpath 1.0 will be fully compatible with the 1.1 and 1.2 API specifications, in addition to having significant compatibility with the 1.3, 1.4, 1.5 and 1.6 APIs.

GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It has many capabilities. It can be used as a simple Paint program, with full suite of painting tools including Brush, Pencil, Airbrush, Clone, etc.  It supports Photo Enhancement, Digital Retouching, Image format converter, Animation etc.
