AWS Retires Documentation from Github

AWS was hosting its help, manual and documentation in Github. Its been almost 5 years, AWS was using Github for docs and its primary purpose is to get feedback and colloborate with end users. In next few days, AWS will retire its docs from Github and archive it.

AWS maintains an internal system to manage all its documentation. They have close to 260 repos and thousands of feature launching every year, its getting difficult for them to sync the repos between internal system and Github.

Repos containing code samples, sample apps, CloudFormation templates, configuration files, and other supplementary resources will remain in Github and the repos which is only related to docs will be retired.
